The Advisory Committee of Foreign Language Teaching in Vocational Education, Ministry of Education, P.R. China

The Advisory Committee of Foreign Language Teaching in Vocational Education is established by the Ministry of Education of China (MOE). It is an expert body which conducts research into and promotes the quality of foreign language teaching and learning in secondary vocational schools and tertiary vocational institutions. Commissioned by MOE, the committee draws up documents of pushing forward the reforms of curricula in vocational education, organises teacher training programmes, initiates research projects and hold various student and teacher competitions. It is composed of 9 sub-committees with a total of 200 members coming from different key vocational schools and colleges in China.

教育部职业院校外语类专业教学指导委员会（简称“外语教指委”）是由教育部成立并在教育部领导下，对高职与中职院校外语类专业教学工作进行研究、咨询、指导和服务的专家组织，下设9个分委会，分别是：商务英语分委会、旅游英语分委会、英语教育分委会、应用英语分委会、高职英语分委会、日语分委会、韩语分委会、东盟语种分委会、其他语种分委会，委员及分委会委员共计200人。受教育部委托，外语教指委负责起草职业院校外语类专业教学改革指导性文件，组织教师培训、科研立项、各种教师与学生教学大赛等活动，旨在不断推进职业院校外语教学改革，提高教学质量，为国家培养合格的、满足经济建设需要的技术技能型外语人才。
